Boundless Seeks On-Campus Leaders to Fuel a Revolution
Work for Boundless, Get Paid to Free Students from Traditional Textbooks!
BOSTON, MA –(Marketwired – May 22, 2013) – Boundless, a learning company offering online textbooks, refuses to accept that college students have to spend hundreds of dollars on textbooks each semester. That’s why today the startup is searching for students to help lead the revolution to bring free and low-cost online textbooks to their classmates. Boundless is now hiring students who have the perfect balance of passion, hustle, social reach, and of course, organizational skills for the Boundless Campus Marketing Program.
The Boundless Campus Marketing Program is about spreading the word about Boundless’ high-quality, low cost alternatives to traditional textbooks in a grassroots way. Students will be hired as Campus Marketing Managers to help classmates sign up for Boundless textbooks – and save a boatload of money while in school.
“Boundless is a startup working in uncharted territory: high-quality, low-cost online textbooks,” said Boundless CEO Ariel Diaz. “We are in a unique position to hire students looking for career skills that are only taught through hands-on experience. If you are someone who’s motivated to help us change the textbook world one student at a time, we want to talk with you about a job that can be the foundation of a career.”
The Campus Marketing Manager position requires students who can work in a fast-paced environment and execute like a pro. These aren’t entry-level jobs without authority. Boundless wants students who will learn quickly and test their new skills by hiring and managing a marketing team and designing a business plan to fit their specific school. The innovation and execution skills students will use to succeed in the Boundless Campus Marketing Program mirror those needed in startups.
Former Campus Marketing Managers have:
- Developed managerial skills on the fly, coordinating teams of two to eight campus representatives
- Identified high-traffic areas on campus and organized events or stunts to grab students’ attention
- Pitched Boundless to professors to show how free and low-cost online textbooks can benefit their students
- Worked with clubs on campus to distribute swag, letting huge groups of students know there is an alternative to expensive textbooks
“What I’ve learned the most is how to identify my target market and structure my marketing efforts to fit my audience,” said Andrew Forst, Boundless Marketing Program alumnus from Florida State University. “I’ve also been fortunate to work with amazing Boundless Campus Reps that have gone beyond what was asked to make marketing Boundless so successful!”
